Due to the situation with COVID-19 and all the restrictions currently in place, I have decided to cancel the 2020 Acadia Birding Festival. Many of our registrants are in the 60+ range and feel uncomfortable traveling to the festival. Plus, even as we hopefully flatten the curve for new infections, I feel that many people will still not want to gather in groups for quite a while. I have been monitoring other birding festivals in May and many, if not all, of them have also canceled.

I am very saddened to miss this year's festival and all the camaraderie with the guides, registrants, and volunteers. It certainly is a very special time that will be sorely missed. But hopefully we can look forward to next year and continue on where we left off this year with the same keynotes and guides.

Full refunds have been processed to all registrants.

I hope all of you stay safe and healthy, and have fun birding from home or wherever you might be. And don't forget to mark your calendars for next year (June 3-6, 2021)!

Happy birding,
